Sharper Styling & Updated TFT Display
The new Kawasaki Z900 sports a more angular and aggressive design, drawing inspiration from the Z500 and Z7 hybrid. The headlight and tail-light have been redesigned for a modern look. The bike now comes in three new shades, while the SE variant gets an exclusive Metallic Matte Graphite Gray finish.
The 2025 Z900 also features a brand-new 5-inch TFT display, which supports Bluetooth connectivity, app-based features, and easy toggling of riding modes and electronic aids.
Performance & Mechanical Changes
To meet the latest Euro 5+ emission norms, the 948cc inline-four engine has undergone minor tweaks, leading to a slight reduction in power output. The updated Z900 now delivers 123hp at 9,500rpm and 97.4Nm at 7,700rpm, down by 2hp and 1Nm compared to the previous version. Additionally, the bike is 1kg heavier and has a 10mm higher seat height.
The braking system has been upgraded, featuring twin 4-piston Nissin calipers at the front. The standard model also comes with Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres, replacing the older Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2.
Z900 SE Variant: High-Spec Suspension & Brakes
While the standard Z900 retains its setup, the Z900 SE variant comes with premium KYB front forks and an Ohlins S46 monoshock at the rear. It also boasts Brembo M4.32 calipers for superior braking performance. This variant is also 1kg heavier than the standard Z900.
Expected India Launch & Price
Kawasaki currently sells the existing Z900 in India for Rs 9.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the updated model’s launch timeline is yet to be announced, prices are expected to see a marginal increase. Upon launch, the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 will compete with the Ducati Monster and Triumph Street Triple R in the premium naked bike segment.
