3 Min Read

Nissan has achieved a significant milestone by exporting 50,000 units of the Magnite SUV since its launch in December 2020. The subcompact SUV is being shipped in both left-hand-drive (LHD) and right-hand-drive (RHD) formats to key markets, including the Middle East, North Africa, select Latin American countries, and the Asia-Pacific region.

February 2025: Strong Export Performance

In February 2025 alone, Nissan exported 6,293 units of the Magnite. The company’s overall wholesale dispatches for the Magnite stood at 8,567 units, including 2,328 units sold domestically. Notably, the company’s exports surged by 97% compared to February 2024, when it exported 3,163 units.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: Design & Safety Upgrades

The Magnite received a facelift last year, introducing several styling updates and additional features. Enhancing its safety, the facelifted version now comes equipped with six airbags as standard. Nissan commenced exports of the facelifted Magnite in November 2025, further boosting its global reach.

Powertrain & E20 Compliance Update

The Nissan Magnite is based on the CMF-A+ platform and is available with two engine options:

  • 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine: 71 bhp, 96 Nm torque
  • 1.0-litre turbocharged engine: 99 bhp, 160 Nm torque

Transmission choices include a five-speed manual, an automated manual transmission for the naturally aspirated engine, and a CVT automatic for the turbocharged version.

A crucial update is that both powertrain variants of the Magnite are now E20-compliant. Initially, only the turbocharged facelifted variant met E20 fuel norms, but now the naturally aspirated version also complies, making the SUV future-ready for ethanol-blended fuel.

Nissan Magnite: Global Appeal

The Magnite continues to be a key player for Nissan in India and abroad. With its growing export numbers, enhanced safety features, and fuel-compliant powertrains, the subcompact SUV is making its mark as a globally competitive vehicle. Nissan’s focus on expanding to new international markets further cements the Magnite’s reputation as a value-for-money SUV with widespread appeal.
