Revolt has launched its most affordable electric motorcycle, the RV1, in India. Priced at an introductory ₹84,990 for the base model and ₹99,990 for the premium RV1+ variant, these prices are ex-showroom, making it a budget-friendly option in the electric motorcycle market.

Features and Performance

The RV1 and RV1+ stand out with their simple yet functional design. Both models offer an impressive payload capacity of 250 kg and are powered by a 2.8 kW mid-motor paired with a chain drive system. The bikes feature all-around LED lighting for enhanced visibility. For safety, both variants come equipped with 240mm disc brakes at the front and rear. Additionally, they offer three riding modes—Eco, Normal, and Sports—along with a reverse mode, perfect for navigating tight parking spaces.

Design and Convenience

Both the RV1 and RV1+ boast a 6-inch digital LCD screen, providing essential riding information. They also come equipped with LED headlights and taillights for better illumination. For added convenience, the models feature built-in storage for chargers and fast-charging capabilities, with the RV1+ able to fully charge in just 1.5 hours.

With a seat height of 790mm, ground clearance of 180mm, and a kerb weight of 108kg (RV1) and 110kg (RV1+), these bikes are accessible and easy to handle, even for shorter riders.

Battery Options and Range

The RV1 offers two battery options depending on the variant. The base RV1 model comes with a 2.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a claimed range of up to 100 km in Eco mode, 100 km in Normal mode, and 80 km in Sports mode. The RV1+ features a larger 3.24 kWh battery, extending the range to 160 km in Eco mode. Both batteries are IP67-rated for water resistance, ensuring durability.

Comfort and Practicality

The RV1 is designed with comfort in mind, featuring a single-piece seat, telescopic front forks, and a preload-adjustable monoshock. These features aim to provide a comfortable ride while keeping the bike affordable. Revolt Motors also offers a 5-year or 75,000 km warranty on both the bike and battery, and a 2-year warranty on the charger.

Revolt has also updated its flagship RV400 model. The RV400 now features faster charging technology, reducing full charging time to just 90 minutes. The bike also gets a 6-inch LCD screen, reverse mode, leg guard, and center stand. The RV400’s range has been extended to a claimed 160 km, and it now comes in a striking Lunar Green color. Bluetooth connectivity for music has also been added to enhance the riding experience.
