Launch Confirmation and Speculation

TVS Motor Company has officially confirmed the launch of the updated Apache RR 310 on September 16, 2024. The bike was spotted just two days ago, offering a glimpse of potential updates.

The launch date was disclosed via an invite we received for the event, which featured an infographic highlighting a top speed of 215.9 km/h and the phrase “Chang Circuit, Thailand.” This suggests that TVS may incorporate insights from its RR 310 ARRC race bike into the updated Apache RR 310, potentially enhancing its overall performance. This could lead to a power boost and improvements in handling and rider assistance systems. The current model is equipped with a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, generating 34PS at 9700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7600rpm.

Design and New Features

In the latest spy shot, aerodynamic winglets were seen attached to the bike’s fairing. While these may be purely aesthetic, we’ll have to wait for the official reveal to confirm. Additionally, we believe the updated RR 310 could come with advanced features like cruise control, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and wheelie control, similar to what is offered on the TVS Apache RTR 310.

Aesthetic and Internal Updates

Visually, the spy shot shows that the new model closely resembles the current Apache RR 310, indicating that most updates will likely be focused on internal components and minor design tweaks. The expected price for the updated model is around Rs 2.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Its key competitors include the Keeway K300 R, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Conclusion

In summary, the updated TVS Apache RR 310 is set to launch on September 16, 2024, with potential performance enhancements inspired by the RR 310 ARRC race bike, as hinted in the event invite. While spy shots reveal few external changes, such as aerodynamic winglets, the real upgrades are expected to be in the bike’s internal components and rider aids like cruise control and cornering traction control. With an estimated price of Rs 2.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Apache RR 310 will continue to compete with models like the Keeway K300 R, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
