Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has refreshed its popular sporty scooter, the Dio 125, for 2025. The updated model is now priced from Rs 96,749 (ex-showroom) for the base DLX variant, while the H-Smart variant is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom). That’s a price bump of Rs 8,798 over the outgoing version — but with added tech and improved compliance, the update justifies the hike.

Honda Dio 125 Gets a Smart Update for 2025

Powertrain: Now OBD-2B Compliant with Idle Start-Stop

The 2025 Dio 125 is now OBD-2B compliant, aligning with new emission norms. It continues to draw power from the same 125cc single-cylinder engine, churning out 8.16 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque. The engine also features an idle start-stop system, which boosts fuel efficiency and makes city rides more convenient.

What’s New in Features? TFT Display, RoadSync & More

The biggest highlight is the new 4.2-inch TFT display on the top-spec H-Smart variant. This screen supports Bluetooth connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync app, offering call alerts, message notifications, and more. The Dio 125 also gets a smart key for keyless operations and a USB Type-C charging port, adding modern practicality to its appeal.

Design & Colours: Same Sporty Look, Fresh Graphics

While the bodywork remains largely the same, the graphics have been slightly updated to give it a refreshed feel. It continues to be a head-turner with colour options like:

  • Mat Marvel Blue Metallic
  • Pearl Deep Ground Grey
  • Pearl Sports Yellow
  • Pearl Igneous Black
  • Imperial Red

How Does It Stack Up Against Rivals?

The 2025 Dio 125 is now on the premium side of the 125cc segment. Here’s how it compares with its competitors:

  • TVS Ntorq 125: Rs 89,653
  • Hero Xoom 125: Rs 86,900
  • Suzuki Avenis 125: Rs 94,869
    (All prices ex-showroom)

Despite being costlier, the Dio 125 stands out with its smart connectivity, idle start-stop, and the new TFT screen.

Conclusion: Dio 125 Goes Smart Without Losing Its Edge

The 2025 update makes the Honda Dio 125 smarter, cleaner, and more feature-packed. With the addition of a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and OBD-2B compliance, it’s a compelling choice for urban riders who want performance with tech. While it’s slightly more expensive than its rivals, the Dio 125 brings a premium touch to the sporty scooter segment.
