Hyundai has unveiled a teaser for the Insteroid, a one-off race car concept derived from the Inster EV. With aggressive aerodynamic features, a stripped-down interior, and video game-inspired styling, the Insteroid is a bold, high-performance interpretation of Hyundai’s micro-EV. The full reveal is expected in early April.
Hyundai Insteroid: Exterior Design Highlights
Massive WRC-Style Rear Wing and Aero Enhancements
One of the most striking elements of the Insteroid is its huge, double-decker WRC-spec rear wing, designed for maximum downforce. The car also features massively flared bumpers and fenders, giving it an aggressive, race-ready stance.
Wide-Arch Body Kit and Custom Panels
Unlike the standard Inster EV, almost none of the body panels on the Insteroid remain unchanged. A wide-arch body kit extends across the entire length of the car, enhancing its race-inspired aesthetic.
21-Inch Aero Wheels and Performance Enhancements
The Insteroid rides on large 21-inch aero wheels with unique three-hole covers. Additional aerodynamic elements include a prominent rear diffuser and a functional roof scoop, improving air circulation and stability at high speeds.

Stripped-Down Cabin and Roll Cage
Hyundai has opted for a minimalistic yet functional approach to the Insteroid’s interior. The cabin has been completely stripped down, featuring a roll cage for safety and structural rigidity.
Video Game-Inspired Controls
Hyundai promises ‘fun details’ across the interior, with intricate elements in the instrument cluster and control buttons, making it a unique experience for enthusiasts.
Hyundai Insteroid: Awaiting the Full Reveal
