Bajaj Auto has officially revised the price of the Triumph Speed T4 to Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 18,000 cheaper than before. This price reduction comes just six months after the motorcycle’s launch, cementing its position as an affordable roadster tailored for the Indian market.
What is the Triumph Speed T4?
The Triumph Speed T4 is a more budget-friendly version of the Speed 400, designed to provide a comfortable and accessible riding experience. Although based on the same platform as the Speed 400, the Speed T4 has been tuned for Indian traffic conditions, focusing on a relaxed riding feel rather than outright performance.
Key Differences Between Speed T4 and Speed 400
To achieve a lower price point, the Speed T4 sacrifices certain features found on the Speed 400, including:
- No electronic throttle
- No traction control
- No immobiliser
- No golden upside-down fork
Despite these omissions, the Speed T4 remains an attractive offering for riders looking for a refined, yet cost-effective motorcycle with Triumph’s premium branding.
Why the Price Drop?
At launch, the Speed T4 was priced at Rs 2.17 lakh, making it Rs 23,000 cheaper than the Speed 400. However, for a period, it was being offered at an effective price of Rs 1.99 lakh through a limited-time discount. Now, Bajaj Auto has made this discounted price permanent, and the Triumph India website has been updated accordingly.
Should You Buy the Speed T4?
If you are looking for an affordable roadster with a strong brand name, the Triumph Speed T4 is a great option. With a relaxed engine tune, lower price, and premium build quality, it caters to riders who want a stylish and comfortable ride without the need for advanced electronics.
