Design & Features: An Adventurous Makeover
The BSA B65 retains the retro charm of the Gold Star 650 while incorporating significant visual upgrades for a scrambler-inspired aesthetic. Key design highlights include:
- A high-rise front fender for added off-road capability.
- Redesigned side panels featuring a number board.
- A sleeker tail section and a shorter seat with a rear rise.
- A smaller, round LED headlamp.
- A single-pod digital display, drawing inspiration from Yezdi and Jawa models.
These changes lend the B65 a rugged, sporty demeanor that sets it apart from its Gold Star sibling.
Mechanical Upgrades: Built for the Trail
The BSA B65 incorporates thoughtful mechanical tweaks for better off-road performance:
- Wheels & Tyres:
- 19-inch front wheel (up from 18 inches on the Gold Star).
- Dual-purpose Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres for improved grip.
- Suspension:
- Possible longer travel suspension, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
- Engine:
- Retains the same 652cc, single-cylinder engine delivering 45hp and 55Nm of torque.
Despite these changes, the B65’s weight has slightly increased to 218kg, up by 5kg compared to the Gold Star.
Pricing & Availability
The BSA B65 Scrambler will hit the market in 2025, available in two striking colours. While pricing details are yet to be announced, expect it to be slightly higher than the Gold Star 650, which is priced between ₹3.00 lakh and ₹3.35 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Rivalry on the Road: Competing with the Royal Enfield Bear 650
The BSA B65 Scrambler will compete directly with the Royal Enfield Bear 650. With its off-road enhancements and nostalgic appeal, the B65 is poised to attract riders looking for a mix of style and adventure.
