Yamaha has just unveiled the fourth-generation MT-07, offering motorcycling enthusiasts an impressive combination of updated styling, refined performance, and cutting-edge tech. All about 2025 Yamaha MT-07
Design & Weight Reduction
The 2025 Yamaha MT-07 has undergone a significant design overhaul, boasting a sleeker, minimalistic style that aligns it closely with the larger MT-09 and MT-10 models. Constructed around a new, more rigid tubular steel chassis, this model maintains its predecessor’s weight of 14.8 kg but incorporates innovative spin-forged 17-inch rims that reduce unsprung mass by 500 gm. Additionally, the minimalist bodywork helps shave off another 600 gm, bringing its dry weight to a lean 183 kg.
Enhanced Cycle Parts & Improved Ergonomics
Yamaha has equipped the MT-07 with a lighter 41 mm upside-down front fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock for improved suspension performance. Braking performance has also been enhanced with the addition of four-piston radial brake calipers up front, providing superior stopping power. Ergonomically, the MT-07 now has a more comfortable rider stance with a lowered seat height of 805 mm, a wider handlebar closer to the rider, and footpegs positioned 10 mm lower. These adjustments make the MT-07 more comfortable and engaging to ride.
Powertrain Updates & Ride Modes
Powering the MT-07 is the familiar 690 cc CP2 parallel-twin engine, delivering 72.4 bhp and 66.88 Nm of peak torque. The motor has received significant updates, including a ride-by-wire throttle system that allows for three distinct ride modes and a customisable mode to suit varying riding styles and road conditions. Riders can also opt for Yamaha’s Y-AMT transmission, which first appeared on the MT-09, adding further versatility to the ride experience.
Technology & Connectivity
The 2025 MT-07 now features a 5-inch TFT display, providing access to all essential riding information. This display also includes smartphone connectivity and navigation features, making it easier for riders to stay connected on the go.
Color Options and Availability of 2025 Yamaha MT-07
The MT-07 will be available in three striking colors: Ice Storm, Icon Blue, and Tech Black. Yamaha has confirmed that this model will be released in global markets next year, adding yet another exciting option for motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide.
Conclusion: 2025 Yamaha MT-07
The 2025 Yamaha MT-07 stands out with its lighter chassis, advanced suspension, refined ergonomics, and enhanced tech, promising an exhilarating and comfortable ride for motorcyclists of all skill levels. Whether you’re after an urban commute or an exciting weekend adventure, the MT-07’s updates make it a strong contender in the middleweight category.
